(LEBANON, Ill., March 2)—The McKendree University men's tennis team won its second match in as many days with a 9-0 shutout victory Saturday over Missouri Baptist University. The contest was played at Kings Point Tennis Club in Belleville.
Sophomore Patrick Rosa (Caylas Du Sul, Brazil/) (Caylas Du Sul, Brazil) scored perhaps the most impressive victory in singles play, rolling to a 6-1, 6-1 win at the No. 4 spot. Sophomore Davi Venditto (Jundiai, Brazil/Divino Salvador) (Jundiai, Brazil) scored a 6-0, 6-3 win at No. 3 singles. The pair also combined to win the Bearcats' closest match in doubles, an 8-6 triumph at the No. 3 slot.
McKendree will host the University of Dubuque Friday at 10 a.m. at Kings Point. After that, the Bearcats will embark on a week-long trip to Florida.
