(EUREKA, Mo., March 21)- The McKendree University women's golf team currently sits in a tie for sixth place at the Maryville University Spring Invitational with an overall score of 389. McKendree trails Des Moines Area Community College by two strokes for fifth place.

Day two of the tournament held at the Aberdeen Golf Club in Eureka, Mo., will start at 9 a.m. on March 22.

Sophomore Stephanie Harris (Alhambra, Ill./Highland) (Alhambra, Ill./Highland) currently has the high score for McKendree and sits in tie for 23rd place with a 95 (46/49). Senior Miranda Gibson (Salem, Ill./Salem) (Salem, Ill./Salem) trails Harris by one stroke and sits in a tie for 25th place with a 96 (45/51). Senior Brittany Kellerman (Pinckneyville, Ill./Pinckneyville) (Pinckneyville, Ill./Pinckneyville) heads into the final day of play in a tie for 30th place with a day one score of 98 (46/52).
