(SOMERS, Wis., Jan. 16)- The No. 19 McKendree University wrestling team lost three close matches on Saturday at the Ranger Duals hosted by University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

The Bearcats fall to 5-5 overall and will host University of Central Missouri on Thursday, Jan. 21 for a dual match at 7 p.m.

McKendree lost its first match of the day to No. 2 Saint Cloud State University (Minn.), 28-14, before losing to Augustana University (S.D.), 24-15, in the second match of the day. The Bearcats closed out the day with a 25-12 loss to No. 14 University of Findlay (Ohio).  Sophomores Darren Wynn (Champaign, Ill., Centennial) and J.J. Filipek (Warrenton, Mo., Warrenton) both posted 3-0 records on the day to lead McKendree, while sophomores NaQuan Hardy (Romeoville, Ill., Romeoville) and Mech Spraggins Jr. (Belleville, Ill., Belleville West High School) both went 2-1.
