(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 27) – The McKendree University D2 men's hockey team faces off against Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville (SIUE) on Friday and Saturday at East Alton Ice Arena in East Alton, Ill. Friday night the puck drops at 10:45 p.m. with the puck drop at 4:15 p.m. on Saturday.
 
The Bearcats head into the weekend (4-3) after being swept by Aurora University in a two game away series last weekend. The Cougars come into the weekend with an overall record of (1-7), earning their lone win in a contest against Mizzou.
 
Senior forward and assistant captain Ryan Sizer (Belleville, Ontario, Canada/Moira Secondary School) leads the Bearcats team in points with 17. Sizer has found the back of the net six times and added 11 helpers. Freshman Levi Armstrong (Urbana, IL/Urbana HS) follows behind Sizer with 11 points, netting three goals and registering eight assists. Sophomore Lazar Lestaric (Belgrade, Serbia/Sesta) and freshman Dominic Naas (Neurensdorf, Zurich, Switzerland/KV Zurich Business School) each have three goals and seven assists for 10 points.
 
In net for McKendree, the sophomore goaltenders Jared Bradley (St. Peters, MO/Fort Zumwalt South HS) and Andrew Best (Midland, Ontario, Canada/Saint Theresa’s High School) have stood tall.  Andrew Best (Midland, Ontario, Canada/Saint Theresa’s High School) has a record of (3-3) with a goals-against average of 3.96 and a save percentage of 0.889. Jared Bradley (St. Peters, MO/Fort Zumwalt South HS) has an overall record of (2-0) with a goals-against average of 3.56 and a save percentage of 0.878.
