(ST. LOUIS, Mo., Feb. 14)- The No. 20 McKendree University wrestling team won one of its three duals on Sunday at the Maryville Duals.

The Bearcats are now 8-9 overall this season and will host Truman State University on Friday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m., for their final dual match of the regular season.

McKendree won three matches by decision and one by fall in the 25-15 loss to top-ranked Notre Dame College (Ohio), before earning bonus points in five matches, including four by fall, in 31-18 win over Ouachita Baptist University. IN the final match of the day, the Bearcats led 15-9 with three matches to go, but lost all three to fall 21-15 to Augustana University (S.D.), who received votes in the latest NCAA Division II ranking.

Sophomores NaQuan Hardy (Romeoville, Ill., Romeoville) and J.J. Filipek (Warrenton, Mo., Warrenton) both finished the day with 3-0 records. Hardy had two decisions and a fall, while Filipek had two decisions and a major decision.
