(BELLEVILLE, Ill., April 23)--The McKendree University men's tennis team was victorious Friday afternoon at home against Bellarmine University, 7-2. The match was played on the campus of Southwestern Illinois College in Belleville.

The Bearcats grabbed victories in four of their six singles matches while sweeping through doubles play to grab an important GLVC triumph. 
 
McKendree improves to 12-11 overall and 2-3 in the GLVC. The Bearcats will close out the regular-season portion of its 2016 schedule Saturday afternoon at Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Ind. First serve will be at 2 p.m.
