(Somers, Wisc. Jan. 14) – The McKendree University men's wrestling team moved to 9-3 overall after posting a 1-1 record at the Ranger Duals held at the University of Wisconsin-Parkside.

The Bearcats opened up the day falling to No. 1 ranked St. Cloud State University 30-6. Darren Wynn (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) and Austin Geerlings (Kentwood, MI/East Kentwood) would secure wins for McKendree during the dual to put the Bearcats on the scoreboard.

McKendree would bounce back as they defeated University of Findlay 18-17 in the second dual. Jarrett Reisenbichler (Jackson, Mo./Jackson) would gather a key victory to put six points on the board for the Bearcats. NaQuan Hardy (Romeoville, Ill./Romeoville) and Darren Wynn (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) followed with wins of their own to put McKendree ahead 12-0. Senior captain Coltyn Pease (Pittsfield, Ill./Pittsfield) sealed the win as he posted a 1-0 decision over Luke Fleming.

The Bearcats are back in action on Wednesday, January 18 as the team travels to Edwardsville, IL to face off against Maryville University.
