(LEBANON, Ill., Oct. 28) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey team completed the sweep of Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville (SIUE) on Saturday night with an 11-1 victory.
The Bearcats improve to 9-3 with Saturday's victory. Several McKendree players turned in stellar performances on Saturday night, with two players recording four points. Both sophomore forward
Tyler Wilson (Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada) and sophomore forward
Levi Armstrong (Urbana, IL/Peoria Mustangs NA3HL) each had four points on the night. Wilson lit the lamp twice for the Bearcat's second and third goals, as well as notching two assists. Armstrong found the back of the net once, while registering three assists in the contest. Sophomore forward
Dominic Naas (Neurensdorf, Zurich, Switzerland/Casper Coyotes WSHL) and senior forward
Billy Lamb (St. Louis, MO/St. Mary's HS) each recorded three points on the night, with two goals and one assist.

Starting in net for the Bearcats was senior goaltender
Trevor Klostermann (Highland, IL/Highland HS), who extended his winning streak to three games. Klostermann has a record of 3-0 on the season after turning aside 19 of 20 shots on Saturday night to earn a save percentage of 0.950. His season save percentage improves to 0.924 and his goals-against average drops to 2.12.
McKendree is back in action at Lindenwood University on Wednesday night, followed up by a home series against the University of Illinois on Friday and Saturday.
