(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 9) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey team is set for a two game series against Bradley University on home ice. The Bearcats and Braves will battle it out on Friday at 7:45 p.m. for Military Appreciation Night, and again on Saturday at 4:45 p.m. at the McKendree Metro Rec Plex.
Friday night, McKendree University and the men's D2 hockey team will host Military Appreciation Night to celebrate the troops and veterans, and thank those who have served in the Armed Forces protecting our Nation. Admission to the game is free for all Military Personnel and their families with a Military ID.
The Bearcats are 12-3 overall on the season, and 9-1 in Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) Gold Division play. McKendree currently holds the No. 1 spot in the MACHA Gold Division with 18 points, ahead of both Saint Louis University and Iowa State University with 12 points. In the first rankings of the season for the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) the Bearcats are currently ranked No. 1 in the central region.
The Bearcats have the most lethal power play in the MACHA so far this season, converting on 28.57% of their opportunities. Sophomore forward Tyler Wilson leads the MACHA in assists and points, with 25 assists and 35 points. Sophomore forward

Andrew Best (Midland, Ontario, Canada/Cambridge Bears Junior A team) has a record of 8-3 on the season, with a goals-against average of 2.69, one shutout, and a save percentage of 0.924. Senior goaltender
Trevor Klostermann (Highland, IL/Highland HS) has a record on 4-0, with a goals-against average of 1.57, one shutout, and a save percentage of 0.944.
