(Lebanon, Ill., Jan. 26) – The No. 6 McKendree University men's wrestling team picked up two huge Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Dual victories with a 21-13 win over No. 3 University of Wisconsin-Parkside (UWP) and a 39-3 win over No. 23 Maryville University (MU) this afternoon.

Marcus Povlick (Plainfield, IL/Plainfield North) picked up major points for the Bearcats securing a forfeit against UWP and then a 16-1 tech fall over Kolby Smith of the Saints. Darren Wynn (Champaign, Ill./Centennial) moved to a perfect 21-0 after a first period fall and 7-1 decision over No. 10 Anthony Cheloni of UWP. Ryan Strope (Westphalia, Mo./Fatima) went 2-0 on the day as he upset No. 3 Pernevlon Sheppard of the Rangers, and True Freshman Ryan Vasbinder (Grand Rapids, MI/Grandville) picked up an injury default and 4-3 decision to remain unblemished on the day.

The most exciting match of the night featured No. 3 James Krischke of Maryville and No. 10 Isaiah Kemper (Evansville, Ind./Central) of McKendree. The two battled through regulation with the match ending 6-4 Krischke in tiebreaker two.
