(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 1) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey team is set to host Iowa State University for two contests this weekend. The Bearcats take the ice at 7:45 p.m. on Friday for Alumni Night, and again on Saturday at 2 p.m. for Senior Day.
McKendree is 20-4 overall this season after sweeping American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Division 1 opponent, the University of Arkansas last weekend. The Bearcats are ranked No. 3 in the Central Region of the ACHA, with the Cyclones slotting in at No. 9 in the region. McKendree currently leads the Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) Gold Division with 30 points, ahead of Iowa State with 28 points.
Sophomore forwards
Dominic Naas (Neurensdorf, Zurich, Switzerland/Casper Coyotes WSHL) and Tyler Wilson lead the Bearcats in scoring this season. Naas has notched 61 points, with 29 goals and 32 assists in 24 games. Wilson has netted 14 goals and added 41 assists for 55 points in 24 games. Junior goaltender
