(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 16) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey team is set to face-off against American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) D1 opponent Missouri State for the final regular season matchups of the season. The Bearcats will take on the Bears at Mediacom Ice Park in Springfield, Mo. on Friday at 7 p.m., and again on Saturday at 7 p.m.
 
McKendree has an overall record of 23-5, and is coming off its second straight Mid-American Collegiate Hockey Association (MACHA) Championship. The final American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) men's D2 rankings were released Wednesday and McKendree held tight at No. 3 in the Central Region. Missouri State slots in at No. 17 in the most recent ACHA D1 rankings.

Sophomore forwards Dominic Naas (Neurensdorf, Zurich, Switzerland/Casper Coyotes WSHL) and Tyler Wilson lead the Bearcats in scoring this season. Naas has netted a team high 32 goals and added 37 assists for 69 points. Wilson has lit the lamp for 15 goals and registered a team high 47 assists for 62 points. Junior goaltender Andrew Best (Midland, Ontario, Canada/Cambridge Bears Junior A team) has seen action in 23 games this season posting a record of 17-5 with a goals-against average of 2.75, a save percentage of 0.918, and three shutouts on the year.
