(WENTZVILLE, Mo., Feb. 26) – The McKendree University men's D2 hockey team fell to Adrian College 2-1 in overtime on Sunday at the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) Central Regionals.
 
The Bearcats season comes to an end at the ACHA Central Regionals, with an overall record of 25-7. McKendree made it to the ACHA D2 Central Regionals for a second straight season, after advancing to D2 last year.
 
After both teams went scoreless through the first period, sophomore forward Levi Armstrong (Urbana, IL/Peoria Mustangs NA3HL) opened the scoring in the second on a pass from freshman defenseman Daniel Nordlander. The Bearcats lead 1-0 heading into the third period. The Bulldogs were able to find the back of the net in the third period to tie the game at one a side. 60 minutes wasn't enough, so the two teams headed to overtime. Adrian scored in overtime to take the 2-1 victory over McKendree.
