(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 15) – The McKendree University men's D1 hockey team continues Midwest College Hockey (MCH) play on the road against Waldorf University. Saturday's contest is scheduled for 7:00pm and Sunday at 4:00pm.
The Bearcats are 5-1 overall and 3-1 in MCH play. McKendree recently swept Northern Illinois University, outscoring the Huskies 30-6.
Senior
Dominic Naas (Neurensdorf, Zurich, Switzerland/Casper Coyotes WSHL) leads the Bearcat offense with 11 goals, eight assists, and 19 points.
Lazar Lestaric (Belgrade, Serbia/National Sports Academy USHS) guides the offense with a team-leading 11 assists.
In net, the Bearcats have employed all three goalies.
Andrew Best (Midland, Ontario, Canada/Cambridge Bears Junior A team) posts a 0-1 record, 3.43 goals against average, and .889 save percentage. Sophomore
Wes Werner (LaSalle, Ontario, Canada/Sandwich Secondary School) has a 3-0 record, 2.75 goals against average, and .892 save percentage. Freshman
Kayne Pasquet (Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Canada/Peacock Collegiate) sports a 2-0 record, 3.00 goals against average, and .912 save percentage.
About Waldorf
The host Warriors have a 5-7 overall record and 5-3 record in MCH play. Leading the offense is Sean Mallonee with seven goals, six assists, and 13 points. Caden Tchop guides the facilitates the offense with a team-high seven assists on the season.
In goal, Jeff Veitch has a 4-1 record, 4.10 goals against average, and .902 save percentage. Dom Lamanno is 1-4 overall, 3.45 goals against average, and .918 save percentage.
