(LEBANON, Ill., April 11) – The Mckendree University powerlifting program has 13 athletes competing in the USAPL Collegiate Nationals this weekend In Columbus, Ohio.
Competition will begin Friday at 9 a.m. ET for the 59kg weight class with
Emmet Metzger (Lockport, IL/Lockport) and
Bryce Paszkiewicz (Nashville, IL/Nashville) in session one. They will be competing on platform number two.
Autumn Suchtya (/) will also compete on Friday in Session two starting at 2 p.m. ET in the 52kg weight class. She will be lifting on platform one in flight B.
In the second day of competition,
Danielle Sweeney (St. Louis, MO./Lindbergh High School),
Alora Mouyard (/), and
Dan Filipek () will lift. Sweeney and Mouyard will begin at 9 a.m. ET on platform one and four, flight B, for the 63kg weight class. Filipek will follow, competing in session two at 2 p.m. ET in the 83kg weight class. He will lift on platform four and in flight A.
Sunday will be the biggest day of competition for the Bearcats as they have four lifters competing. Session one at 9 a.m. ET will feature lifter,
Aaron Sebok (/) in the 93kg weight class. He is set to compete on platform two and in flight C. In the next session,
Jaxon Karnoski (),
Gavin Yociss (Sullivan, MO/Sullivan), and Katie Bockenek are set to compete. Karnoski and Yociss will be in the 105kg weight class. Karnoski is set to lift on platform two, flight B while Yociss will lift on platform three, flight A. Bochenek will be on platform five, flight B for the 72kg weight class.
The fourth and final day of competition will take place Monday at 9 a.m. ET. McKendree will have
Tyler Gulbransen (Grant Pass, OR./Hidden Valley High School) and
Caleb Rankin (Jackson, MS/Jim Hill High School) competing. Gulbransen will lift on platform four, flight B in the 120kg weight class. Rankin will compete in the 120+kg weight class on platform three, flight B.
