(LEBANON, Ill., Sept. 22) – The McKendree University men's tennis team continued its fall season at Kentucky Wesleyan and the Quincy Invite. The Bearcats dominated play against the Panthers, winning 7-0. Six Bearcats traveled to Quincy for the tournament.

Quincy Invite
Senior Alwyn Mushonga (Mutare, Zimbabwe/Mutare Boys High School) took first place in the A singles, going 3-0. Mushonga defeated two opponents from Quincy and one from Iowa Central College.

Johnny Hu (Antwerpen, Mol, Belgium/Campus Het Spoor) placed fifth in the A singles, and was the champion of the backdraw. Hu lost to Missouri Baptist and defeated opponents from Iowa Central and Quincy.

Ratik Khanna (Jalandhar, India/MGN High School) took sixth in the B singles bracket, losing to Missouri Baptist and teammate
Carlos Etty (Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands/Luzac College Eindhoven). Khanna won against opponents from Quincy and Missouri Baptist.

Carlos Etty (Eindhoven, Noord-Brabant, Netherlands/Luzac College Eindhoven) placed fifth in the B singles, and was champion of the backdraw. Etty lost to Quincy and won against Iowa Central and teammate Khanna.

Alvaro Alonso (Anover de Tajo, Toledo, Spain/IES San Blas) took fourth in the C singles, beating Quincy and falling to Iowa Central and Quincy.
