(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 10) – The McKendree University men's D1 hockey team is back on the road for its final road series of the season against Illinois State University. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:00pm on Friday and Saturday.
The Bearcats sit at 14-4 overall and 12-2 in Midwest College Hockey (MCH) play this season. McKendree clinched the top seed in the MCH Tournament last weekend against Northern Illinois.
Offensively, senior
Dominic Naas (Neurensdorf, Zurich, Switzerland/Casper Coyotes WSHL) paces the Bearcats with 20 goals, 15 assists, and 35 total points.
Lazar Lestaric (Belgrade, Serbia/National Sports Academy USHS) facilitates the attack with a team-leading 23 assists, posting 34 points. Senior
Tyler Wilson (Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta, Canada/) follows up with eight goals in just 10 games of action, scoring hat tricks in both games against Northern Illinois.

Andrew Best (Midland, Ontario, Canada/Cambridge Bears Junior A team) has a 5-2 record, 2.07 goals against average, and .927 save percentage. Sophomore
Wes Werner (LaSalle, Ontario, Canada/Sandwich Secondary School) sports a 6-1 record, 2.87 goals against average, and .885 save percentage.
About Illinois State
The Redbirds sport an 11-12-3 overall record and 6-5-1 mark in MCH play. Brennan Begner leads Illinois State with 13 goals, 14 assists, and 27 points on the season. Daniel Sarnecki guides the offense with 16 assists, totaling 21 points. Robert Kalata and Trevor Hilt are next in goals with eight apiece.
In net, Adam Lindeman is the primary goalie with an 8-9 record, 3.35 goals against average, and .907 save percentage.
