BELLEVILLE, Ill. – McKendree men's tennis concluded its 2021-22 fall season here Saturday evening as the Bearcats improved to 3-0 on the season following its 6-1 win over Missouri Valley College at the St. Clair Tennis Club.

In Saturday's final match of the fall season, the Bearcats opened by sweeping all three doubles matches to earn the doubles point.

Junior Leonardo Frederico (Tijucas-Santa Cantrina, Brazil/UniCesumar) teamed with graduate student Boriss Kamdem (Ghent, Beligium/University of Tulsa) to post a 6-1 win at the No. 1 spot, while sophomore Nanese Ebisu (Osaka, Japan/Hawai'i Pacific) played with junior Lorenzo del Biondo (Pescora, Italy/Abraham Baldwin) to post a 7-5 win the No. 2 spot and junior Ryan Fung (Miami, Fla./Palmetto), who won the 'C' Draw singles title at last weekend's ITA Midwest Regionals, paired with sophomore Subash Paramasivan (Chennai, India/Saraswathi Kendra) to post a 6-2 win at the No. 3 spot.

Meanwhile, in singles play, the Bearcats won six of the seven matches with the lone loss coming at the No. 1 spot as Frederico fell 6-3, 6-2 to Yaroslav Sharyy.

McKendree won the other five singles matches with four of the matches being won in straight sets and the fifth match, at No. 5 singles, being won in three sets.

Kamdem won at the No. 2 spot, 6-1, 6-2, while sophomore Julappagari Reddy (Dubai, UAE/CBSE School Nationals) won 7-5, 6-3 at the No. 3 spot and Ebisu won 7-5, 6-3 at the No. 4 spot.

Del Biondo won in straight sets at the No. 6 spot, while freshman David Leon Mantilla (Lima, Peru/Colegio Parroquial Santa Rosa de Lima) needed three sets to win at the No. 5 spot. Mantilla won 6-1, 4-6, 6-2.

The Bearcat men will reutn to action on Friday, Feb. 11 with a 3:30 p.m. that will be held indoors to the St. Clair Tennis Club in Belleville, Ill.
