(LEBANON, Ill. – Feb. 6) – The No.6 McKendree University men's wrestling team took on their final Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) team of the season Saturday afternoon. The Bearcats finished their season 5-1 (3-1 in GLVC) after defeating Drury in seven of the 10 weight classes, 28-9.

McKendree opened up the first two decision strong with a major decision and 3-0 decision victories. Drury would come back to take the following two weight classes to get within one point. A huge victory by fall in the 174-lb class followed by a major decision in the 184-lb class secured the conference win for McKendree.

James Kisgen and his team will begin their postseason and look to defend their title in the NCAA Regional Tournament, Feb. 27-28.
