COLUMBIA, Mo. - McKendree University women's cross country competed at the Brian T. Simpson Invitational hosted by University of Missouri Saint Louis. 
"The Brian T. Simpson Invitational was a great race to end our regular season. It was an amazing course that gave many of our athletes an opportunity to PR before heading to the Conference Championships. I'm very excited to see what the team is capable of in our championship races." Coach Brydon Groves-Scott said. 
In the Bearcats last regular season race of the regular season sophomore Sophia Paschal once again trailblazed the way running a new personal best of 20:50.81 in the 5-kilometer race.  
Sophomore Lacey Laxton crossed the finish line with a time of 21:07.39, also a personal best in cross country. Junior Reagan Lucas completed the race in 21:24.88.  
Sophomore Colleen Zinke ran a personal best individual best of 21:33.97, and freshman Chloe Gough rounded out the scoring for the Bearcats with a time of 22:30.53. 
Sophomore Azia Douglas ran a personal record of 22:54.88, and freshman Caroline Peters rounded out the top 7 with a time of 23:18.69. 
Sophomore Tori King concluded the day for McKendree harriers with a time of 23:40.13. 
The Bearcats return to action on Sat. Oct. 21 at Southwest Baptist University where they will compete at the GLVC Championship meet.
