CHESTERFIELD, Mo. - McKendree University beach volleyball competed against No.9-ranked Missouri Baptist and Lindenwood University at the Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex on Tuesday. The Bearcats were narrowly defeated by Missouri Baptist 3-2 and fell to Lindenwood 4-1 in the tri-match.
One Bearcat duo, freshmen Lili Wilkerson and Brooke Junker, went 2-0 for the day and captured both wins in three sets. The pair posted scores of 16-21, 21-14, and 15-11 against Missouri Baptist and 17-21, 21-11, and 15-6 against Lindenwood to secure two of the Bearcats' three flight wins.
Also snagging a flight win against Missouri Baptist were juniors Hanna Parisio and Jessica Hickel, defeating the Spartans with scores of 21-18 and 21-10.
Up next, McKendree beach volleyball will compete at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships on April 14-17 in Tavares, Florida.
