FINDLAY, Ohio - No.10 McKendree University men's wrestling (5-4, 0-1 GLVC) added another out-of-league victory on Saturday afternoon, handling Findlay by a final count of 36-11 with seven weight class match-ups belonging to the Bearcats. The Bearcats not only took seven of 10 bouts but added bonus points in six of those seven matchup victories, including two pins and a win via technical superiority. 10th-ranked McKendree continues its short non-conference road trip on Sunday as the Bearcats battle Ashland for the second time this season.

McKendree defeated Findlay in a fifth-consecutive match up, moving the all-time record between the squads to 8-4 in favor of the Bearcats. The 36-11 win on Saturday also made it four-straight wins by double-digits for the Bearcats.Â

Christian Mejia tallied another ranked win on the season with a 6-4 decision over Graham Shore. The win was Mejia's 18th of the year while he moved to 18-4 overall.Â
The Bearcats tallied wins in three-straight weight bouts against the Roughnecks, claiming the 141-149-157 classes by extra-point victories. Schuelke earned his ninth extra-point win while Semerad and Laubach each got their eighth.Â

Lucas Wendling collected his fifth fall of the season, getting the pin just before the second period concluded.

McKendree heads north to Ashland to conclude its short road trip as it takes on No.20 Ashland. The Bearcats and Eagles most recently met at the NWCA 2024 National Duals first round, where McKendree took the dual 36-13. McKendree owns the all-time series, 2-0, over Ashland.
