ASHLAND, Ohio - No.10 McKendree University men's wrestling (6-4, 0-1 GLVC) brought home an undefeated weekend in Ohio as they captured another win over No.20 Ashland on Sunday afternoon. The Bearcats and Eagles ended the dual tied but McKendree won the edge in the matchup with a pin fall victory in the 141 weight class by
Ronan Schuelke, which gave them the tiebreaker point. McKendree improved to 3-1 in true road non-conference duals on the season and will be back in action at Quincy on Friday, January 26 for its second Great Lakes Valley Conference bout.

NOTES
McKendree improved in true road non-conference duals on the season, moving to 3-1 overall with its two victories in Ohio this weekend. The Bearcats defeated Ashland for the second time in January while it extended its winning streak over Findlay to five matches.
The Bearcats tallied wins in the first four matches, including one major via
Ryan Ripplinger and a fall by
Ronan Schuelke while both

Joey Semerad added decisions.

Ronan Schuelke grabbed the most crucial result of the day, a pin fall victory over Jeremiah McKee (3:39), which pushed the Bearcats to the road win via criteria on max point matches.

Christian Mejia added another decision victory on the weekend road set, beating Luke Acuna, 6-1. Both of Mejia's matches were ranked wins as Shore (Findlay) held the #10 spot and Acuna ranked as #11.
