Beach Volleyball Battles Against Eagles and Colonels

RICHMOND, Ky. - The McKendree beach volleyball team traveled to Kentucky to compete against Liberty University and Eastern Kentucky University this weekend.

The Bearcats first match of the day started at 11:30 a.m. against Liberty University. McKendree was defeated by the Eagles 1-4. McKendree's fifth pair freshman Ashleigh Jamruk and freshman Abby Hickman took down the Eagles' fifth pair in two sets with scores of 21-17 and 21-18. The Bearcats' second match of the day started at 2 p.m. against Eastern Kentucky University falling to the Colonels 0-5.

The Bearcats are back in action at the NCAA Championships hosted in Tavares, Florida on April 12-14.
