INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - No.5-seeded McKendree University men's tennis battled the No.1-seeded University of Indianapolis on Tuesday morning in the second round of the NCAA Division II Midwest Regional. The Bearcats defeated Drury University in round one of the tournament but fell to the Greyhounds 4-0 on day two.
Sixth-year senior Vishnu Prasad and fifth-year senior Lorenzo del Biondo won their second consecutive regional doubles match in the No.3 spot, defeating David Simeonov and Pedro Romano Franca 6-2. Indianapolis won the No.1 and No.2 doubles matches to claim the doubles point.
The Greyhounds would go on to secure the win by taking the No.1 singles, No.3 singles, and No.5 singles matches.
McKendree ends its season with an 18-5 overall record under coaches Manuela Barriga and Rick Gyllenborg.
