LEBANON, Ill. – McKendree University is deeply saddened by the passing of Colleen Lischwe, head coach of our men's and women's water polo teams. Colleen was a beloved member of the McKendree community, known for her unwavering dedication to her student-athletes and commitment to fostering an environment of growth, excellence, and leadership. 

Colleen embodied what it means to be a servant leader and cherished her opportunities to teach and develop young men and women. She was a close friend and colleague to many, and helped to create the special bond that exists within the McKendree community. 

The University offers its deepest condolences to the family of Coach Lischwe during this incredibly difficult time. As we process this loss together, the University has made available counseling services and other support resources to all students, faculty, and staff. 

Plans to honor Colleen's memory and legacy will be shared in the coming days.
