CHESTERFIELD, Mo. – The Bearcats continued their weekend at the ACHA Showcase at the Maryville University Hockey Center on Saturday, January 18th as they battled the University of Oregon. Behind fve different goal scorers, the Bearcats defeated the Ducks by the score of 5-2.
After Oregon scored first, Matias Alexandrov tied the game with his 13th of the season as Joe McCormick and Sawyer Lownsdale. As the game passed the midway point, Jack Harris collected his 14th goal and 50th career point with the power play goal as McCormick picked up his second helper and Tarcisius Tibishkogijg recorded the secondary assist.
Leading 2-1 going into the final frame, Jacob Begich found the back of the net for his fifth of the season on the power play with Brady Nance getting the assist. Lownsdale extended the Bearcat lead to 4-1 with this fourth of the season at even strength. Rycol Davis and Ben Anderson recorded the helpers on the goal. After the Ducks cut the lead to two goals, Tibishkogijig recorded the third man advantage goal of the game with his third of the season, Harris and Alexandrov picking up the assists.
McKendree went 3-for-3 on the power play. Dylan Dallaire recorded his fourth win of the season, seeing his first action since November 8th. He stopped 41 of the 43 Oregon shots.
