WESTLAKE, Ohio – The winter sports calendar has come to an end which means it's time for the updated standings of the Division II Learfield Directors' Cup. The Directors' Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today.
On Thursday, April 3rd, the winter standings were released and for the third time in school history, the Bearcats sit inside the top 20. Behind strong finishes at men's and women's swim nationals, along with appearances at men's wrestling and men's track and field, McKendree sits in 19th place with 333.25 points. They earned 225.25 points for the winter sports after earning 108 points in the fall.
McKendree was also inside of the top 20 during the 2021-22 and 2017-18, which they earned their highest ranking at 14th.
For the final standings, 15 total teams can be scored, but four of which must be men's and women's basketball, baseball, and volleyball.
