CEDAR FALLS, Iowa | UNI Dome - No.8 McKendree University men's wrestling battled through a tough weekend at the 2026 NWCA National Duals event, going 2-3 overall after defeating Upper Iowa in the second match of the weekend on January 9 and then ending the tournament with a victory over Ashland on January 10. The Bearcats were led by 165
Sam Richardson, who went 5-0, as well as 133
Thaddeus Long, who went 4-0 during the weekend tournament. McKendree heads out to Ohio for its next two battles with non-conference duals at Ashland and Findlay on January 16 and 17. Following the stint on the road, the Bearcats return home for Havoc at The Hett at McKendree's Hettenhausen Center for the Arts against Upper Iowa on January 22 at 7:00PM.
