2020-21: Had five top-15 finishes, his highest at fourth on Vandalia Lake... took eighth on Vandalia Lake, 12th on Stephen Forbes Lake, eighth on Coffeen Lake, and sixth at the Big Bass Bash on Kentucky Lake
2019-20: Posted two top-25 performances in tournament competition… was eighth at the McKendree Vandalia Invitational… was 25th at the FLW Central Conference Regional… was fourth at the Illinois Bass Nation (IBN) State Championship… was 25th at FLW Central Conference Qualifier.
2018-19: Posted five top-10 performances in tournament competition… was ninth at the McKendree Vandalia Invitational… was third at the McKendree Fall Invitational… was 85th at the Yeti FLW Central Conference Regional… was runner-up at the Quantum Next Generation Tournament… was fifth at the Illinois Bass Nation (IBN) State Championship… was 68th at the FLW Central Conference Tournament… won the Greenville Open.
BEFORE McK: Competed for Streamwood High School, where he posted several top finishes for the program. They include first place at the Streamwood Invitational, Diamond Lake and Big Bass Bang Lakes, first and third place at the D230 Series Bradwood Lake event, second place on Des Plaines Rivers and 13th on Calumet Rive. Hernandez finished second in the Illinois High School Association (IHSA) Conference event on Shabbona Lake and was first and third in IHSA sectionals. Hernandez placed 17th and 38th in two IHSA State Championship appearances.
PERSONAL: Is the son of Martha Palacios.
