2020-21: Had 12 top-25 finishes, his highest at first in the Missouri State University Open... took 11th on Kinkaid Lake, 19th on Vandalia Lake, third on Stephen Forbes Lake, ninth on Coffeen Lake, 11th on Centralia Lake, ninth and 14th at the Big Bass Bash on Kentucky Lake, finished 16th on Lake Hartwell and qualified for the 2021 Bassmaster National Championship, 25th with the third-biggest catch of Day 2 on Lake Chickamauga and qualified for the MLF National Championship, 22nd at Pickwick Slam, and second on Carlyle Lake with the second Big Bass Catch… was a member of the 2020 FLW Central Division Championship team
BEFORE McK: Marien was a four-year captain for the Northland Pines Bass Fishing team and four-time Junior Brush Hogz Angler of the Year. As a junior, Marien placed 20th at FLW High School Nationals and 36th at FLW High School World Finals. As a sophomore, Marien placed first overall at the FLW High School Open on Mosquito Lake. During his freshman campaign, Marien was a BASS High School Nationals Qualifier and placed second at BASS Wisconsin State Tournament.
