Biography
BEFORE McK: Hornsby was a member of the IHSA, where he had a second and an eighth in his two sectional appearances. He placed 11th at the IHSA Sate Finals. He also competed in many Illinois Bass Nation (IBN) qualifiers and state finals, finishing 2nd on the Des Plains River, and 8th at Braidwood. In the IBN State Finals he placed 26th twice and won the state finals in 2020. He also fished the 230D series where he placed 4th on Braidwood and 8th on the Des Plaines River. In the Illinois High School Bass Fishing League he had a 4th and 5th place finish. At the Batavia tournament he placed 6th, at the Naperville North tourney he finished 8th, and at Oak Lawn he placed 9th.
PERSONAL: Born Sept. 1...son of Wendy and Shawn Hornsby...majoring in Economics and Finance...has one brother, Seth, a former McKendree Bass Fishing angler.
