McKendree University Athletics

McKendree University swimming and diving head coach Jimmy Tierney announced in August 2017 the addition of Alex Blake to the coaching staff for the team's second year of competition. Blake will be the graduate assistant diving coach for the Bearcats men's and women's teams.
 
Blake joins the McKendree staff after spending four seasons as the head diving coach for Westford swim club in Westford, Mass. where he coached divers aged 7-17. With the help of Blake, the club took home first place in diving in all four seasons. He has also served as the assistant coach for his former club, Infinite diving club in Boston, Mass.
 
As a student-athlete, Blake enjoyed a great deal of success throughout his high school and college careers. During his college career, Blake was a NCAA National qualifier and was a four year NCAA Regional qualifier for St. Lawrence University in Canton, New York. Blake was also a standout diver in high school, earning third place at the Division I State Championships as well as All-American honors in 2013. Competing for Infinite Diving Club, Blake qualified for Nationals as well as the AAU and J.O. zones.
