Reagan Beal enters his third season with the Bearcats for the 2017-2018 season. In 2016, Coach “Rea” (pronounced RAY) helped contribute to the men’s best team-finishes ever. Under his tutelage, the men’s sprints/jumps/hurdles scored over 60 points towards the Men’s Outdoor GLVC Championship. He has also guided DeMontez McCray to three GLVC Athlete of the Year awards on his way to five NCAA All-American honors, where indoors of 2017 he finished 2nd in the 200m Dash.
Before heading to the Midwest, Beal attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Daytona Beach, Florida) and earned his bachelors in Social Sciences, Psychology from Kennesaw State University (Kennesaw, Georgia). As a student-athlete, Beal achieved several record-breaking performances. While at Embry-Riddle, Beal earned the school record in the 400m dash, 4x100m dash, and the 4x400m dash. Beal was also deemed an NAIA All-American as well as two-time recipient of the NAIA Champion of Character award.
During his first year at Kennesaw State, Beal won the Atlantic Sun Conference title in the 400m, 4x100m, and 4x400m, broke Kennesaw State's 400m record, and qualified for NCAA division I Championships first rounds in the 400m dash as well as the 4x100m relay. The following year Beal would capture the Atlantic Sun title the 100m, 200m, 4x100m, and 4x400m titles earning him Atlantic Suns Most Valuable Runner award.
Since graduating, Beal has coached on several levels ranging from preschool aged athletes to collegiate athletes.
