BEFORE McK: In 74 games with De Smet over his three-season Varsity career, Northrop notched 40 goals and 21 assists for 61 points. Derek also registered a total of 13 power-play goals and six short-handed goals during his tenure. Northrop garnered Second Team All-Metro honors his Junior Year. Derek is very involved academically as well earning the grades to get on Honor Roll every semester in high school, as well as the Presidential and Leadership Scholarships.
