2021-22: Earned 3rd place finish at 165 for All-American status at the NCAA DII Championships, beating John Dean (Belmont Abbey) on 5-3 decision…named First Team All-GLVC…finished the year 37-6…took 2nd place at the 42nd Midwest Classic…collected a team-high 331 match points…won eight matches by major, three by tech fall, and one via pinfall…won 16-straight matches to begin the 2022 calendar year, which began at National Duals and ended during Super Regional IV…scored a team-high 153.5 team points….opened season with a 17-6 major over Raymond Williams (Campbellsville (Ky.)) at Kaufman/Brand

BEFORE McK: Was a four-time All-Stats honoree, had four state championship appearances, and was a four-time MCC First Team honoree for the Warriors of De Smet Jesuit High School. Peterson went 39-0 during his senior season including being named Missouri High School State Champion, and holding the all-time record for most wins and takedowns. Peterson was names All-American, Cliff Keen Preseason National Champion, and placed fifth in the State finals as a junior. During his freshman season, Peterson placed fourth in the State Championship and third in the Cliff Keen Preseason Championship. Additionally, Peterson wrestled for the United State Wrestling Academy.

PERSONAL: Is the son of Lisa and Jerry Peterson.
