BEFORE McK: Was a three-time First Team All-Conference, was Runner-Up in IHSA 2A State Championship as a senior, and placed fifth at the IHSA 2A State Championship as a junior for the Panthers of Jersey Community High School. Wentz was also a two-time All-Conference safety for the Panther's football team. Waltz hit a career milestone when he recorded 100 wins, and posted an overall 134-36 record.
