McKendree University Athletics

Elia Burbidge is entering her second season as an assistant coach for the McKendree University women's hockey team in 2022-23 season. Behind the bench, Burbidge has attended the WMCH Conference Tournament and National Championship during the 2021-22 season. 

Prior to her time in a coaching role, Burbrdge played both forward and defense in her time as a player for the Bearcats women's hockey team from 2017-21. Venturing to the National Championships in her sophomore, junior and senior years. She was also the team captain as a senior in 2020-21. 

She graduated from McKendree in 2021 with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology/Sport Psychology and is currently completing her Masters in Sport & Exercise Psychology at the SIU-Edwardsville, while working to complete her certification as a mental performance coach.
