Madyson Moore is the assistant coach for the McKendree women's hockey program. Moore became a member of the Bearcats' staff in the fall of 2016.
Moore, a native of Dubuque, Iowa, had a memorable career as a member of the Norwich University women's ice hockey team. While at Norwich, Madyson was instrumental in helping lead her team to two NCAA D3 Frozen Four appearances, finishing as the national runner-up in 2014 and semifinalist in 2015. She was second on her team in goals and fifth in points her junior year. By her senior year she had accumulated 68 career points in 95 games at Norwich. There, she was named Athlete of the Week in February 2014. Before Norwich, Moore began her college career at New England College where she was second in team scoring her freshman year and first in scoring her sophomore year.
Away from the ice, Moore was named to the ECAC East All-Academic Team in 2013 and 2015 as well as the ECAC East Weekly Honor Roll in 2014 and 2015.
"It's hard to describe how thrilled we are to have Madyson on the coaching staff," said Buntenbach. "She has proven success at every level of hockey she has competed, including two Frozen Four appearances. She was an accomplished scorer and will use those skills and experience as she instructs and develops our young forwards. Madyson will also be working with special teams and assisting with day-to-day tasks, including recruiting."
During her time at Norwich, Moore obtained her bachelor of science in physical education with concentration in health and coaching. While at McKendree, Moore will be working to obtain her master's degree in business administration.
