(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 22)—The McKendree University men's tennis team earned its first victory of the season Friday evening with a 9-0 triumph against Missouri Baptist University. The match was played at Kings Point Tennis Club in Belleville.

The Bearcats won all six singles matches along with a trio of doubles contests in cruising to the win. McKendree, the No. 20-ranked team in the NAIA pre-season poll, improves to 1-1 on the season and will host the University of Illinois at Springfield on Friday in Belleville. First serve is set for noon.
