The McKendree University women's basketball team has two short road trips into St. Louis this weekend. The Bearcats travel to Maryville University tonight for a GLVC game at 5:15 p.m., followed by a GLVC contest at University of Missouri-St. Louis on Saturday at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE SAINTS: Maryville enters the week on a three-game losing streak after dropping two conference games last week. The Saints fell to Kentucky Wesleyan, 97-91, in double overtime on Thursday, before falling to Southern Indiana, 69-63, on Saturday. The all-time series is tied, 1-1, with McKendree winning the last meeting, 74-56, on Nov. 25, 2008.

SCOUTING THE TRITONS: Missouri-St. Louis enters the week on a two-game losing streak after losing both its games last week. The Tritons fell 73-65 at Southern Indiana last Thursday, and then lost 82-64 at Kentucky Wesleyan on Saturday. Missouri-St. Louis leads the all-time series, 18-4, with the Tritons winning the last meeting, 70-62, on Nov. 19, 2011.

CONFERENCE LEADERS: The Bearcats are ranked second in the GLVC with 6.3 three-point FG made/game, ranked third in the GLVC with 11.9 steals/game, and are fifth in the conference with a +3.8 turnover margin. The Bearcats are also ranked eighth in scoring offense with 67.4 points/game. Caty Ponce (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) leads the GLVC with 19.5 points/game and a .905 free throw percentage, while also being ranked fifth with 2.2 steals/game. Shelby Woelfel (Jerseyville, Ill./Jerseyville) is second in the conference with 1.6 blocks/game and is eighth in the conference with 7.9 rebounds/game.
