The McKendree University women's basketball team will close out its three-game homestand on Monday night at 5:30 p.m., when they host Bellarmine University. The Bearcats will then hit the road for away contests at No. 5 University of Indianapolis on Thursday, Jan. 24 at 5:30 p.m. ET, followed by a game on Saturday afternoon at 3 p.m., at Saint Joseph's College.
SCOUTING THE LADY KNIGHTS: Bellarmine enters the week with an overall record of 13-4 and a 3-3 record in the GLVC. The Lady Knights are currently on on a two-game winning streak after earning wins over Wisconsin-Parkside, 66-60, and Lewis, 74-70, this past weekend. Bellarmine won the only previous meeting between both programs, 69-67, on Nov. 11, 2011.
SCOUTING THE GREYHOUNDS: Indianapolis enters the week ranked No. 5 in the USA TODAY Sports Division II Women's Basketball Coaches' Poll and has an overall record of 11-3 and 4-2 in the GLVC. The Greyhounds dropped both of its games on the road last weekend at Kentucky Wesleyan, 67-61, and at Southern Indiana, 70-69. It will be the first meeting between the two programs.
SCOUTING THE PUMAS: Saint Joseph's enters the week with an overall record of 1-13 and 0-6 in the GLVC. The Pumas have lost its past six games, including losses to Southern Indiana, 79-48, and Kentucky Wesleyan, 65-48, last weekend. Saturday's game is the first between the two programs.
MILESTONE WATCH: Woelfel needs four blocks to move into a tie for eighth place with Suzy Gerler on McKendree's all-time blocks list. Woelfel currently has 74 career blocks.
