The McKendree University women's basketball team splits this week with one game on the road on Thursday, followed by a home game on Saturday. The Bearcats travel to Owensboro, Ky., tonight for a conference game at Kentucky Wesleyan College at 5:15 p.m., and will host University of Southern Indiana on Saturday at 1 p.m.

SCOUTING THE PANTHERS: Kentucky Wesleyan College enters the week 10-6 overall and 6-3 in the GLVC. The Panthers had its four-game winning streak snapped last weekend with back-to-back losses at Lewis University, 79-61, on Thursday, followed by a 67-57 loss at University of Wisconsin-Parkside last Saturday. Kentucky Wesleyan holds a 2-0 record all-time against McKendree, and won the previous meeting, 77-59, on Dec. 15, 2011 in Owensboro.

SCOUTING THE SCREAMING EAGLES: University of Southern Indiana enters the week 13-4 overall and 5-4 in the GLVC. The Screaming Eagles lost three games last week on the road, 68-59 at Kentucky Wesleyan on Monday, 69-53 at Wisconsin-Parkside on Thursday, and 71-69 at Lewis on Saturday. It is the first all-time meeting between the two institutions.

MILESTONE WATCH: Shelby Woelfel (Jerseyville, Ill./Jerseyville) needs two blocks to move into a tie for eighth place with Suzy Gerler on McKendree's all-time blocks list. Woelfel currently has 76 career blocks. Leann Voss (Breese, Ill./Breese Central) needs four steals to move into a tie for seventh place with Cheryl Stinchfield in career steals at McKendree. Voss currently has 175 career steals.
