Box Score 1 (LIBERTY, Mo., March 17)- The McKendree University softball team lost game one of a doubleheader to William Jewell College on Sunday 12-1. Game two was called in the fifth inning due to inclement weather and was not finished.
The Bearcats fall to 3-10 overall and 1-4 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and will host No. 3 University of Indianapolis on Saturday, March 23 for a doubleheader at noon.
McKendree scored one run in the second inning, but was unable to match the Cardinals' offensive firepower to fall 12-1 in five innings.
The Cardinals scored six runs in the first inning to jump out to the early lead, but the Bearcats cut the score to 6-1 in the top of the second when freshman designated player

William Jewell hit four home runs in the contest and scored all its runs in the first three innings.
