Box Score 2 (LEBANON, Ill., April 1)- The McKendree University softball team dropped tow games on Monday to Bellarmine University, falling in game one, 1-0, before dropping game two, 7-0.
The Bearcats fall to 6-17 overall and 4-11 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and will travel to Romeoville, Ill., on Saturday, April 6 to face Lewis University in a doubleheader at noon.
McKendree matched the Knights with five hits in game one, but were unable to produce any runs and fell 1-0. The Knights scored their only run in the fifth inning to earn the win. Sophomore pitcher
Susan Goetze (Green Valley, Ill./Midwest Central) struck out seven, but fell to 4-4 on the season with the loss.
The Bearcats struggled offensively in game two and only produced three hits in the 7-0 loss. Bellarmine scored its first run in the first inning, and added runs in the final four innings to earn the victory. Sophomore starting pitcher
Kelsie Stoszkus (O'Fallon, Ill./O'Fallon Township) fell to 1-9 overall and struck out two, while freshman pitcher had one strikeout while pitching in relief.

Caitlin Stredde (Pingree Grove, Ill./South Elgin) and Stoszkus each had two hits on the day to lead McKendree at the plate.
