(LEBANON, Ill., Nov. 14)- The McKendree University women's basketball team will tip-off its 2014-15 season this weekend in Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., at the Great Lakes Valley Conference/Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Crossover Classic.

The Bearcats will play host school Lake Superior State University on Friday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. ET, followed by a 2 p.m. ET game against Hillsdale College on Saturday, Nov. 15.

SCOUTING THE LAKERS: Lake Superior State University posted an overall record of 5-23 last season. The Lakers are led by senior guard Stephanie Fisher, who averaged a team-high 11.6 points/game last season. McKendree defeated the Lake Superior State 56-47 last season at the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover hosted in Springfield, Ill.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS: Hillsdale College posted an overall record of 12-15 last season. The Chargers are led by senior Megan Fogt, who averaged 20.3 points and led NCAA Division II with 16.1 rebounds/game last season. McKendree edged Hillsdale, 77-74, last season in overtime at the GLVC/GLIAC Crossover hosted in Springfield, Ill.

MILESTONE WATCH: Senior guard Caty Ponce needs three three-pointers to move into second place all-time at McKendree in career three-pointers made. Ponce also needs 22 points to move up to No. 9 on McKendree's all-time scoring list.
