(LEBANON, Ill., June 3)- The McKendree University men's tennis team finished the season ranked No. 50 in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) NCAA Division II rankings.

The ranking is the first in program history for the Bearcats as members of NCAA Division II. The Bearcats were tied for 50th with East Central University in the final ranking, and were also ranked No. 6 in the final ITA Midwest Region rankings.

McKendree ended its season with a loss to No. 36 Northwood University (Mich.), 5-3, in the NCAA Midwest Regional. The Bearcats earned its first ever NCAA tournament berth after finishing in fourth place at the Great Lakes Valley Conference tournament on April 20th.
