Box Score (FLORENCE, Ala., Sep. 4)- The McKendree University women's soccer team dropped its season opener on Thursday night at the University of North Alabama 3-0.

The Bearcats fall to 0-1 overall and will host their home opener on Saturday, Sep. 6 against Hannibal-LaGrange Universty at 4 p.m.

McKendree surrendered all three goals in the first half of the contest. Chole Richards scored all three goals for the Lions, scoring in the 18th, 35th and 44th minutes.

Sophomore goalkeeper Anna Sassman (Castle Rock, Colo./Douglas County) fell to 0-1 overall this season and had seven saves in the loss.
