(LEBANON, Ill., Jan. 8)- The McKendree University women's basketball team returns to campus after playing its last four games on the road to open up their Great Lakes Valley Conference home slate.

The Bearcats host Truman State University on Thursday, Jan. 8 at 5:30 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday against Quincy University.

SCOUTING THE BULLDOGS: Truman State enters the weekend with an overall record of 8-3 with a 2-1 mark in the GLVC. The Bulldogs split a pair of conference matchups last weekend, defeating Wisconsin-Parkside, 78-66, on Friday, before losing to No. 2 Lewis, 93-57. Senior guard Allie Norton leads Truman State with 16.6 points/game.

SCOUTING THE LADY HAWKS: Quincy enters the weekend with an overall record of 5-6 with an 0-3 mark in the GLVC. The Lady Hawks dropped both of their games last weekend at home, falling 88-72 to No. 2 Lewis University on Friday, before being edged by Wisconsin-Parkside, 55-54, on Sunday. Junior forward Carly Bettancourt leads Quincy with 10.5 points and 4.1 rebounds/game.

CONFERENCE LEADER: Sophomore forward Gabrielle Williams (Minooka, Ill./Plainfield East) currently leads the GLVC in field goal percentage with 72.7 percent shooting from the field.

MILESTONE WATCH: Senior guard Caty Ponce (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) needs 10 points to pass Emily Best for seventh place on McKendree's all-time scoring list. Ponce also needs 14 three-pointers to pass Katie Hasheider as the all-time leader in school history in career three-pointer's made.
