(LEBANON, Ill., Feb. 12)- The McKendree University women's basketball team is preparing to close out its regular season with a five-game homestand.

The Bearcats host Rockhurst University on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m., followed by hosting a 1 p.m. contest on Saturday, Feb. 14 against William Jewell College.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS: Rockhurst University enters the week with an overall record of 8-13 with a 2-11 mark in the GLVC. The Hawks have lost six-straight games, including losses to Wisconsin-Parkside and No. 1 Lewis last weekend. Sophomore guard Mary Dineen leads Rockhurst with 14.1 points/game.

SCOUTING THE CARDINALS: William Jewell College enters the week with an overall record of 11-10 with a 6-7 mark in the GLVC. The Cardinals have lost three-straight, including losses to No. 1 Lewis and Wisconsin-Parkside last weekend. Aerial Smith leads William Jewell with 12.7 points and 6.1 rebounds/game.

LEAGUE LEADER: Senior guard Caty Ponce (Edwardsville, Ill./Edwardsville) currently leads the conference in free throw percentage shooting 97.2 percent (35-36) from the charity stripe.

MILESTONE WATCH: Ponce needs 38 points to pass Kari Crnkovich for fifth place on McKendree's all-time scoring list. She also needs four assists to move into sixth place on the all-time assists list.
